This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities particularly wheelchair users and those affected by Spinal Cord Injury/Dysfunction. RHOWI being a change agent is committed to fostering an inclusive society that enables people with disabilities to live fully –engaged lives like any other citizen. At present, RHOWI is at the forefront of disability rights movement, removing barriers to people with disabilities so they live a future they envision .Our staff and volunteers combine knowledge and personal experiences to deliver programs and services to towards producing fully integrated and empowered participants in our society by rebuilding lives.


Our mission at Rhowi is to advocate for climate justice, spread awareness of climate and educate the diverse disability communities and make sure that different means of education and information is appropriately used throughout all of Nigeria:
To continually preserve a clean environment that is not prone to unpleasant events.
To inform and educate people with disabilities on how to manage themselves in the event of disaster and other unforeseen situation arising from climate change.
To bring about unique climate change mitigation strategies that will guide in policies’ reform for the inclusivity and enhanced quality of life of our disability community.

Amina Audu

She is passionate about raising voices of the marginalized. She’s the founder of Rhowi and did so in order to create awareness about spinal cord injuries and for survivors to be able to know about their condition and do the little they can to take care of themselves at home as there is no rehabilitation center. As a disability rights advocate and social inclusion, she ensured people with disabilities especially in the rural areas are no longer the under-represented through advocacy and lobbying.

DR. ADESOLA C ODOLE

Adesola Odole is an Associate Professor and Consultant Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at the University of Ibadan and University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria respectively. She has over 30 years of physiotherapy clinical practice. Her teaching, scholarship, and clinical practice have been geared towards telehealth, health outcomes assessment, and intervention of major musculoskeletal conditions. She is also interested in improved access to healthcare for the less privileged and underserved communities through mobile health. She is very passionate about the voice of individuals with disabilities being heard. Her new passion includes advancing health and wellness especially regarding climate change and physical disabilities.

Ayodele Awobona

Ayodele Awobona was born Jan 30, 45 years ago in Jos, Plateau State, his growing up was both in Jos and Ago Iwoye and he is presently based in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State. He studied Computer Science in Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State and presently studying Criminology at the National Open University. An author, a Freelance Researcher, a Counselor, a Farmer and a Disability Right Advocate. Written books on literacy and numeracy for ages 3-6 endorsed by UBEC and approved for usage in Ogun, Lagos and Oyo State. Living with Spinal Cord Injury for 23yrs.
Ayo is the Chairman, Spinal Cord Injury Association of Nigerian Ogun State Chapter and South West Coordinator of Rebuilding Hope on Wheels Initiative (Rhowi), Disability Sport Director of Advocate for Grassroot Sports Foundation (AFGRAS) and Pioneer Secretary of Focus on Disability Foundation.
Ayo has a very strong passion for motivating and mentoring persons with disabilities especially those with spinal cord injury as well as anyone aspiring to better their lot in life.
